This article aims to explain the general features of contemporary art and its radical novelty. While recognising importance postmodernism as a marker boundary cultural epochs, author argues that it is impossible either reduce or them through foundations postmodernism. In own way, sums up great past history humankind. Contemporary expresses trends development movement towards future human civilization. Several examples illustrate novel essence – appeal representation mastery diverse phenomena an independent self-sufficient specific reality. The universality growing scale concentrates on make necessary link emergence characteristics socio-cultural evolution (peaceful revolution) our era. this unfolding process lie in qualitative growth productive nature-transforming socio-organising, material, informational, spiritual abilities culture both universal way existence for societies individuals particular world (“supra-natural”). power impact life modern humanity each person visible prospects progress are such they capable transforming from “second nature” (its traditional definition) into first nature main determining principle objective defines change entire consciousness, foremost subsystem most sensitive novelty responsive alterations life, i. e. artistic consciousness. expressed by birth, establishment, new culture-centred paradigm consciousness alongside one which has existed millennia, programmed represent (nature-centred).
